Hari World Travel Felicitates Travel Agents

CHICAGO: Hari World Travels, one of the largest, Indian American owned travel agencies in the US, recently hosted a pleasant get to know your travel agents function, "An Evening in Spring", in association with Delta Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago.

As nearly two hundred guests, friends and agents joined the function, Kamini Cohly, President of Hari World, welcomed them heartily appreciating their support in making it a highly successful agency. In his address, Prem Cohly, the CEO of the enterprise highlighted the sequences of the growth of Hari World, which began as a small two-person office at Ontario, Canada in 1968 mainly serving the Indian clientele and how it rose to the present position.

The growth he admitted "did not come overnight. It was an arduous task painstakingly achieved, but the fruit of success was sweet." He introduced many important persons who contributed to the success of this agency as it grew from one office to several to include New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles, and New Delhi in India. He also noted the close relations built with several leading airlines, including Delta and now the newly established links with Kingfisher.

He also pointed out that Hari World has emerged as the market leader in consolidation developed through highly service oriented relations with numerous airlines including Air France, Air India, Air New Zealand, American Airlines, Airlines, Austrian Airlines, British Midland Airlines, China Airlines, Continental Airlines, Emirates, Jet Airways, Kuwait Airways, Lufthansa, Pakistan International Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Srilankan Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, to name but a few.

Marek Kusek, National Account Manager of Delta Airlines in his address further delineated the services provided by Delta in conjunction with Hari World and praised the value of partnership between the Delta and Hariworld. He said Delta Air Lines is the world's leading carrier between the United States and destinations across Europe, Africa, India and Israel.

Sudhan Thomas, Regional Director, North America of Kingfisher Airlines, explained in detail the birth and growth of Kingfisher in India and its proposed expansion to cover both Indian and markets overseas.

Kingfisher Airlines has acquired in excess of 12 percent of the domestic travel market share India in just 23 months of flying the good times. He disclosed that Kingfisher is the first airline in India to have placed orders for A-380 aircrafts and its Airlines fleet is projected to include 100 new aircraft by 2010. The function concluded with a raffle drawing of two Business Class tickets for two.
